Another helicopter just gone down in the north sea
Not good news at all.......

Thats the 3rd offfshore helicopter accident from memory in about 2 months, 1 here and 1 in Canada a few weeks ago, and another 1 just happened today. i hope it's not a sick joke.

Not very good due to the temperature and sea state, you do undergo specialist training every 4 years but everyone is pretty much of the opinion if you crash your fooked. Height really depends on weather conditions, i'd hazard a guess at a few hundred to 1000ft, been in them hundreds of times but never asked.

Fingers crossed but as you say if it ditches what chance have you got. My dad just home yesterday and brother due home on tuesday with bond as well it will be tense times.
