Hi all, iv made a school boy error and need a little advice. Car tax has run out and so has the MOT. I cant Tax it to drive it for an MOT, and i cant provide an MOT to Tax it. Can i legally drive it to get an MOT and then Tax it straight away? Or do i have to trailor it to get an MOT and go from there?

You can drive to and from a pre-booked mot with no tax mate.

You can legally drive to an MOT without tax and then get the tax after assuming ur car passes!! as long as ur insured on the car obviously!!

Make sure you can prove it was booked.

Yes you can drive with no tax as long as your going to the MOT station

Yup no problem at all driving an untaxed car aslong as it too and from a test, i got pulled last week for driving with no tax copper was fine with it when i showed him the 20 minute old M.O.T. cert

as long as you have insurance you can drive it to the prebooked mot station.
