since putting the the filter on the cossie and removing the dump valve and replacing it with the original item it used to chatter like mad.

picked the car up from the bodyshop where it was for the wkend and now there is very very little chatter and you can hear it dump through the filter??

any reasons as to where my chatter has gone??

That doesn't sound right at all mate.....
Have you had a good look under the bonnet, is it still driving ok otherwise?

 

i know mate..i have had a good look around under the bonnet and all seems well.it was driving spot on before and STILL is..relly have no idea but it doin my head in now

 

becuase the re circulating dumpvalve goes back into the air filter pipe so it wll chatter but will be quieter if your still using a cone filter

std airboxes do it aswell but not as much

 

the re curcilating dumpy is not on the cone side its on the other took the shitty bailys one off,the thing is i have been running it like this for ages and now all of a sudden its got no chatter.

Checked the filter/pipe/hoses for blockages or similar?

 

My old saff before my current one used to do that mate...pissed me off something cronic....used to dump through the air filter. Puzzled me so much that I just left it. It didnt affect it one bit in terms of driving it though. My one at the moment chatters like crazy and has near enough exactly the same air filter. One of many cossy mystry's!!!

 

think i may have solved the problem..the hose from the cooler to tb has a split in it,thinking that may have caused it to do it??
