The screens have many faults,and have been retracted from the Curry's site..

After 5 weeks of arguing with Curry's i am finally getting a new screen on Thursday

I bought mine on boxing day,in a sale from currys 7 weeks later the screen developed loads of faults.IE changing channels by itself

And then a day later finally packed up all together

The tech guys in the end admitted to me the screens where not tested enough and the full batch basically are SCRAP

BUT I NOTICE THEY ARE STILL FOR SALE ON SOME ON LINE SITES

Does this affect the 37" do you know?

I had the 32" originally but Currys swapped it from a 32" to a 37" free of charge after I wrote a letter whinging about specification inconsistencies on their website (the 32" should have had 100hz, it didn't). Dont think they'd take to kindly to having to swap it again

They fobbed me off for the 28 days period. waiting for parts routine.then finally admitted theres no spares available as the screens have been retracted from sale.

I'm major pissed off is a under statement as they new it was fucked..THEY just dragged the process along

They even tried to re-neg on the deal saying we will give you a full refund Ł550 i said the TV was worth Ł1000 ....FUCK OFF after a lot of phone calls..

i seem to have a result the tec guy said you will get the top of the range spec for that type of TV.its in stock Monday night

Ive got to ring up tomorrow after 9pm with this new stock number

If you bought if from currys, your in the same boat as me

I would ring the number Ive posted you need the serial number from the back of it..and ASK whats the situation with the flaws via the TV

i will post up the specs of the TV they offer me tomorrow night.after the phone call

so wait till tomorrow night

i have the 50" version and it blew same day i had it. but touch wood the new one 14months on aint too bad

LG are renowned for faults, i used to install them for commercial pubs clubs etc, i would say i would remove 5-10 a week for faulty power and video board failures pile of shite machines poor quality components and a bad design

i've got an lg 50" and it's been faultless since it went up

their dvd recorder though, that's been a pain in the bollocks

the problems with it are that it will just all of a sudden stop, no recording, no playback, just a frozen screen which can only be rectified by pulling the plug

which means that whatever was recorded isn't

but sometimes it happens after 9 seconds, sometimes it happens after a few hours

but it doesn't have to be recording, it just needs to be on
