Last year at pod put missis wrx on strip as my car wasnt playing the game, out of the 3 runs it did a respectable 13.5, Im pretty sure it couldnt have been bettered as launch was pretty much perfect (very slight tramp) so i called it a day. Ever since then she said she wanted it in the 12s. I said with a bit more boost,front mount etc it could do it,but it wont be easy.

She then said she wanted to try a few runs but not straight at something like usc so i suggested york etc to get some practice in, all fine so far...

She said at USC she only wants to do friday when its quiet so not as much pressure, then i do sat and poss sunday.

Last night it went off, BIG TIME!!

Out of the blue she said that i wont be driving it, i thought eh? thats a change, She then said well when i get a 12 on friday i dont want to risk pushing it and breaking it. I simply said id be suprised if she got the 13.5 of last year being it being her 1st time at usc with pressure of being watched and never driving it before. WOOPS, BIG MISTAKE!! I now think supposedly she cant drive, i along with everyone else there will laugh at her saying her car is slow blah blah blah, She want me to send all goodies back i have bought for the thing as there is no point etc and she aint going now lol.

I explained that the 13.5 run i did was a near perfect run in my eyes, gear changes couldnt have been quicker etc and that half a second is a massive amount of time to make up, ive been draging for 10 years and as such have the experience etc

She cant get the idea of just have fun, challange yourself to beat your last times and learn how little changes etc can improve runs etc. She like if i dont get a 12 its a waste of time and not worth spending any money.

Needless to say the bring anything up she can think of in the past to call me a cunt etc and just be a stuck up cow followed.

Fooking give up lol Concentrate on mine and mate lil bros think now..

she needs to know that it's takes lots of practise and know how not to mention steel balls (so thats her fooked!) to get a perfect launch,

I have been drag racing for 14 years so tend to have a good idea what you need to do!

Most women can't drive, simple as that and I've never met a good one yet ! Let her have a go at doing a 12, and then when she blows it to pieces just look at her with the 'I told you so' face on, and don't say a word. No point in arguing mate, they're always right and we're always wrong !

i love it tho.the adrenaline rush is awesome and its like tunnel vision.
i did 43 runs up shakespeare county raceway last year in 2 days.my fastest was 14.4, terminal was 99mph and car was running 210bhp and 226lb ft torque

 

Sell the WRX and get her a 1.1 of some sort, maybe she needs to appreciate how much you are doing for her to get her car quicker

 

she's well in to her driving and it looks like she's gonna prove a point to you........

can you imagine her getting a high 12........(who's the daddy now)..........

Don't waste your time or breath, she wants to not go and send the stuff back, just agree and say 'ok fine' her choice, probably expecting you to talk her round - she soon be crawling for you to fit the parts...

hope she is nothing like my missus, we had been to the pub and i had had a few beers, so she ended up driving the cossie back, as it was down country lanes i told her to launch it, got half way through third gear, pulled over and started crying, because it was too fast
