Default Another Cat Question

My street is full of the little shit machines.

One or possibly more have taken to shitting in our front garden. My car bonnet is now scratched from one that likes to sleep on the scuttle panel and slide down the bonnet with its claws out.

I know there's not much I can do with the car situation, but is there anything that can be done about the dirty little cunts laying eggs in my garden?

I couldn't bring myself to physically harm it so poison is out.

Obviously speaking to the owners isn't going to work (hell, they probably got the cat in the first place because the owners never have to clean up their pet's shite)

Does anybody have any tried and tested deterrants? Getting a bigger cat is not going to happen as I despise them.

You can get them electronic things that emit a high pitched sound, squirt them with water, get a dog or get some lion/tiger shite from a zoo and put it where they've been going.

Orange Peel.

As daft as it sounds, i used to have 2 cats that pooed in my garden all the time!!

Someone suggested Orange peel and i thought they were having a laugh!

But

It worked! I dont know what it is, but there must be something in the peel they dont like..... ok it makes your garden look a bit messy, and you have to keep thrwing more of it down, but that combined with this funny green gel pellet thing seemed to work wonders! But the two never worked when only used on their own!

I thought about one of those electronic things but I reckon it would just get used as a footy by the local youths.

Water pistol was my first idea as yopu suggest but I never catch the bastards at it.

I'm a bit light on Zoos in Middlesbrough so Tiger Shite is a bit thin on the ground

I read somewhere that my piss might do the trick. Someone also suggested carpet grippers under the mud but I can't see that working

Cheers

Weird thing is, I thought cats buried their crap? I never saw a cat that shat in the open then left it

they do 'bury' it... but their idea of burying it is kicking a mm of soil over it!!!

The Green Gel stuff came in what looked like a ketchup bottle froma garden centre!

But ive seen it in pets at home too!

A Cat will attempt to bury its crap, and usually fail. I've had my cat flick grass at me instead of the shit, and then walk off. More of a bad cover up. There are many ways of doing it, water is good. But please don't hurt it. There's no need.

MAL is not as stupid as he first sounds and Lion manure is easier to get hold of than you think. THIS is what I use and it works.

They leave it uncovered to mark territory.

I have always had cats and have NEVER found ANY catshit in my garden. Even when weeding/gardening, I never come across it.

Then last week, I found a lump of shit in my back garden, in the grass. NO WAY was that my cat that left that. It MUST have been a loose dog that got into my garden. Fucker.

Also, it's birds that do the most damage. We had some bird-shit on our Clio, was on there for not even 2 days and the paint was damaged. Luckily it could be machine polished out, but was a body-shop job.

That's something that you'll never stop. LOL.

Cat's don't hate orange peel. Cats do however hate shitting where there's another strong smell.

They probably get the train up here to drop the kids off at mine mate

Stevie, I've only caught one once, I gave it a good scare but it's obviously got a short memory.

PMSL @ Paddy's chinese burns

Don't worry Benni, even though I hate the little bastards I could never hurt one.

This has got to stop like, I'm collecting my own piss, will give that a try first as it's free - credit crunch and all that
