Default md240r turbo any good or not

turbo dynamics md240 turbo what power are they good for was think around 400 bhp or should i keep the t34 what is best???

T34 gonna be on its limits at 400bhp, heard of md240r's being 440bhp meant to be a good turbo

i think it was a md240r turbo i had and it was bad for surge.
does it have a t4 inlet and a small exhaust housing.

I had this turbo on my cosworth and it worked very well, had a ported shroud and kicked hard.

Maybe try going the T38 route for 400bhp or gt30

I also ran a T38, mine was a proper Turbo Technics T38 and that worked very well also, but got rid for the MD240R.
Beware of cheap imitation T38 turbos.

its got ar70 front like gt30 and o.57 rear looks like escort small turbo to me

almost sure its the 1 i had, had trouble with it surging. you might need it live mapping if you use it.

A very good turbo , but as said they are prone to surge on a std head

internal, has the fitting kit with it to and a actuator.
