I saw a nice/mint mk1 escort mexico estate last night, in someones garage, it's a trailer queen he said.
Was it just mexico running gear in a estate shell as never even heard of them before last night.
This one was daytona yellow and defo put out by ford as mexico estate, anm said only three were made, probably why I never heard of them, he also had some very nice interesting other cars, all nicely locked away.
Would appreciate some info on them if anyone knows anything, thanks

Yup there were a very small number of Mex estates made, the pic of the one I have seen is yellow. I saw it in a Graham Robson book.

I "think" Mexico Mark has a Tawny Brown one. He runs an Escort spares company and for the life of me the name escapes me.

There are only 4 too that I know of as they were special builds by the AVO factory.

even now they worth a few quid


i also heard a rumour there was actually 6 made aswell

Six might be right as I think some were done for the Jersey Police Force.

The 3 known ones are the Yellow one which used to reside in Colchester, the brown one and there was a white one with a Blue stripe last seen @ AVO Day in the late 80's.
