Credit card? Not your problem at all if it is as it's the credit card companies problem! If it's your debit card you may have a wee bit of leg work to do.

Even with a debit card if you report it soon enough there usually isn't a problem.

 

i just had a problem with my debit card, lloyds wstopped the card because there was an unusual/suspicious transaction. it was perfectly legitimate but it was good to see them on the ball and sorted out with a quick call.

As its a credit card ur ok mate as said its their money not urs and as long as you have your card on u they usually give the money back.

Count urself lucky, i was at work one sat and had a call from natwest bout my switch card, someone had tried 2 withdraw money in thailand or somewhere luckly i had used it in the UK about 6hrs before and it declined it so that was cancelled, then a day later i had a call from egg sayin the same thing bout my egg credit card

I actually had only used the egg card once in a petrol station near to work as i only had it as a back up but always used my switch card there!! Turned out someone else at work had same thing and they used that station too!!! Told the card company/police etc as i could prove i only used it once there etc but it was about 4 months before that i had used it, so obvoiusly they had a camera watching ppl put their pins in etc then sold off the numbers etc so by time police would have gone down the camera would be gone.

Never heard anything back about it since thou!!! Chip and pin is worse for fraud than the old signatures!!!!!

 

mate at work had Ł1500 taken out with 2 cards, apperntly jis missus had her bag nicked whilst she was watching swimming, they took her cards then put her purse back,she didnt report it for 2 days, by that time Ł1500 had been taken from the two accounts, but what made things worse was that she ahd the pin numbers taped to the front of the cards, so she didnt forget them.

Nor did the theives lol.

They are still paying it off now.

that sort of stupidity deserves punishment. taping the pin nunmber to the card will have served her a hard lesson learned.

I had my debit card nicked out the post and the person forged my signature and went into a branch of Halifax and took out 1200 , got it all sorted within 3 or 4 weeks.

 

Bastards mate i hope you get it all sorted.
