I'll have to read it now. I always find that with films, unless they are true to the book, which the Green Mile was the book is always better. I remember reading Misery and I was gutted that the film wasn't true to what happened in the book. There was no reason that it couldn't have been either

virtually all of kings books are better than the films

the 5 exceptions being:
cujo
the shining
stand by me
shawshank redemption
the green mile

'salems lot "could" possibly be a 6th but the others have been worse than shite

Yep,

Red Dragon - Manhunter
Silence of the Lambs - Silence of the Lambs
Hannibal - Hannibal

all better books than the films, different story lines and a complete different ending.

even though i thought the film was brilliant, the book was so much better
besides, you couldn't really have annie chopping off his feet, the sledgehammer to his ankles was bad enough

you see, running man was the same basic principle, but the story was fairly different, in the book there is no happy ending as he does a 9/11 and smashes a plane into the skyscraper
