I had mine from 96 - 99 - did about 45,000 miles in it ( up to 160,000 ) and sold it for £50 more than i paid for it ( although I did spend a bit on it, new suspension, brakes, injection setting-up etc ) so I have fond memories of XR4i ownership

These are really lovely cars. With the stock 2.8i V6 they maybe ain't the fastest around, but if someone would offer a one for me to trade for my current Pinto 3dr I would already be on my way and with a big grin on my face.
They are still reasonable cheap to get over here in Finland, shame that I don't have the money currently. Been dreaming of owning one for a while now.
I dunno about the prices over England, but I'm pretty sure if it really is a minter well then 1200 is very cheap for it.

this is my one, in lovely condtion, 80k does anyone know about the vin sequencing on these? my number ends in 37001, an interesting number
