Default 4x4 rear backing plates, same as anything else?

Asked this a while ago, but no one really had a decent answer so i'll ask again!
I know the 2WD backing plates are different to the 4x4 for a start, but I spoke to someone who mentioned that Granada ones were similar and would fit????
So has ANYONE on here that's reading this post actually bought a set and tried to fit them to their 4x4, did they fit straight on, need mods etc....????
No offence but I don't want people replying with the usual " I once knew this bloke 6 years ago that i think did it....."" Blah blah blah.

well granadas use the same hub carriers and rear calipers as a 4x4 cosworth, id imagine the dosc size is the same aswell bar being 5 stud, even the hub part is the same bar 5 stud

so the backing plates should be the same, you need to see which way the edge lip goes as cosworths go towards the diff and normal ones towards the wheel

the granada 24V ones will fit as they use the larger 273mm brakes
not sure if the scorpio 24V ones will though as they use a slightly different beam, but the brakes fit so i can't see why not

the common or garden granada's use the same size brakes as the sierra so 253mm will be a bit of a tight squeeze, but they do fit

I used XR4x4 ones which are almost exactly the same diameter as the Cosworth 4x4 discs. They needed just a little easing to clear the disc, but they are on.
