I have an externally gated T34, adaptor flange and external wastegate, at the moment I'm not going to be using aftermarket management to do a turbo conversion but will when I build a proper motor, would it make more sense to rig up a wastegate controller or buy a cheap internally gated turbo?

 

Change the spring inside the wastegate to allow it to regulate the boost to a level you are happy with.
