Poll Tax
Just had this years bill arrive and its £171 per month
Thats for a 4 bed house band E
How much is yours and what band is your house in ?????

Mines Band D and mine is £95 a month but that with the discount for single occupancy. And the bill this year is exactly the same as last year as it came through this morning. The one bill I really object to paying but at least it hasn't gone up.

Its a tax on Services provided by the local authorities Yes
Charge for Council Tax is based on Capital value of property
Charge for Poll Tax was based on the number of people in a property
Entirely different

It certainly isnt the same. Under the Poll Tax
EVERONE paid & thats the fairest way as we all use the services. Under Council Tax the Householder pays.
Mines £195 a month + water

Errr, read it again boys. I said it's a tax, and no matter what they call it it's still tax.
How it's calculated is academic. It's tax.
