ok so browsing through this months fast ford ,

theres a techhy article on cryogenic freezing of engine and gearbox components ,

does anyone have any fist hand experience with this ,does it work ect

just thinking that if it does ,



ill go chuck my rods and crank in me freezer overnight


thoughts ?

Mt gearbox input shaft has been done, its doing a good job

Basically it`s a computer controlled process of dry freezing metal over a 20 hour period to -300 degrees Farenheit....... it changes the structure of the metal and improves it`s strength and wear capacity

I've done a few GTiR gearbox casings to stop them popping on launches - seems to work!

i will be getting a whole gearbox done, inside and out soon,
an uprated item is Ł3k
to have a std 1 frozen is Ł375

i can break 10 std 1s b4 paying for an upgrade lol

when i get round to spending thousands on an uprated MT75 I reckon it will be worth a few hundred quid getting the whole box done.
