As some of you might know I am building up a S2 track car. It has a MTX75 gearbox conversion on a Gartrac peddle box, built for a cable operated clutch using the ford ratchet and mechanical adjustment as per the MK5 Escort.
At the moment the clutch cable is too short, I have tried an RS Turbo item (way too short) and a MK5 Escort RS2000 item which is about 50mm too short.
Does anybody know of any other Ford models with cables I should try or if not does anybody know if you can buy a kit to make your own cables up? I am sure this must be available for the Kit car guys!
She is so nearly finished its unreal and this is the only real show stopper! (at the moment)
Cheers,

Have you tried an early Mondeo perhaps these have cable???
Alternatively I once snapped a cable and the AA man had a kit....
Borrrow my AA memebrship number and push your car out the garage and wait for him to arrive![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
He basically had a role of cable and then some metal fittings that had grub screws either side to make a suitable fitting on the end that clamped the cable..

cheers luke!
Not sure it will work but I am viewing it from my mobile.
Beer on the way though! I am at the machine shop at the moment and they have suggested going to a hydraulic pipe makers as they make cables up for you if you tell them what you want. Just got to find one local now!

Why? People know who I am as it is, if I change it, they wont...
Anyway, everytime I visit Phil I see more and more bits of RST being made in carbon, you're even worse than me!
