Need to know urgently what is X worth in 3(2X+1)=9, and how do you work it out

so

2x+1 = 3

so

2x = 2

thus

x=1

fucking nth term!!! that and trig i struggle with.

was working out shear stress loadings and ultimate shear forces and shit in my head today, still cant do fuckin trig though
