Default Fiesta 1.4 wheel movement

If I jack the car up and hold the wheel at 3 and 9 I can move them about 5mm accompanied by a clunk. What is it. Also when I reverse off the drive down a kerb i hear a clunk?

Thanks for your responses - track rod ends wont be too dear I wouldn't have thought. BTW its a 2005 1.4 Ghia 5dr. Its under an Arnold Clark warranty, but I think this would be classed as wear and tear, so I'll have to pay for it. Problem I have is no tools, so I will have to get it done by a garage so I want to be sure what needs doing. I am tempted to get all the bushes done at once to make sure they are all cock on.

I would suggest track rod ends too. My girlfriend's mk6 fiesta also does it, however it flew through its MOT a couple of months ago so there cant be anything seriously wrong!
