If you mean buy as an investment to sell in maybe a year or so time & make some ££££ then i wouldnt suggest the FRS tbh - a lot are going sub £10k now anyway & will only get cheaper over the next 12 months

i don't think that you will get any car as an investment for just £10k, i.e. one that appreciates in value more than the rate of inflation

personly dont think that buying any ford for that sort of money is an investment unles you are going to buy a shitter and put work in to restore it.

I would go for something that is already tried and tested as a classic, and something that you can get in:

Good or top condition original condition
lots of paperwork
sort after model

so look at cars that are picked up with the above and around your budget.

In these times people will be getting the need to sell up their toys due to cash trouble, so look out for the bargains and be quick with the cash.

If you grab the above at a bargain price then you are ahead of the game and have something that will retain value.

I have seen two cars go in the last week at way under what they are worth, and one sold within hours and the other around two days - so you need to be fast on your feet.

A concours original low mileage rs1600i

will only go up

However, buying a car purely as an investment might not be that canny an idea

60s mini cooper maybe

As above though, if you plan on actually using whatever you buy then pretty much forget about it as an investment really
