If you talking Garrett T series, the lower the number, the smaller it is. but theres tons of different size T2/T3/T4 etc etc tho, its a very rough guide.

If its 25/28/35 etc think of it more as T2.5, ie bigger than a T2, smaller than a T3

Garrett GT series numbers are not AT ALL comparable to T series numbers, but they go up in the correct way, ie GT25/GT28/GT30/GT35/GT40/GT42, etc.

Turbonetics arnt really comparable again, tho pretty much like Garrett T series numbers, apart from they dont do the 25/35 crap, its more like the GTs, ie a 65 would be bigger than a 7.

HKS turbos are basicly GT series ones so thats how their numbers work out.

The BIG Trust/Greddy ones go up in size the bigger the number, but are NOT compareable to others, eg Trust T78 is FAR SMALLER than than a Turbonetics T76.
The smaller Trust/Greddy/Mitzi turbos are different tho...

That sums up most common ones...

You want me to go on about IHI/KKK/holset turbos too? hope not

Actually, i hope you got good eyesight, its time for steve to be ultra helpful, a guzillion turbos, from smallest to largest, not every turbo in the world, but most of the more common ones...

And dont forget TurboDynamics Turbos! They use a mish mash of Garret T and GT parts, then call them MD then a random number to confuse everyone and make it look like their own stuff

Which T3 compressor wheel does the Sierra Sapphires use stock? My guess is they use the 50 trim. Anyone know for sure?
