Popping to the car Auctions...LOADS of EVO's..
I am not up to much today, so thought i would pop along to my local car auction and see what cars are going for what sort of money....

When I bought our mk5 golf gt last year there were all sorts. All the cars were Ex-met police, either company or undercover jobbies.
So they were all very over serviced and had everything done that needed doing.
There were evos, scoobs, bmws, audis, VW's all going for silly money.
Even a 911, it had something stupid like 30k on the clock was 3 years old and went for about 25k
.
Dont know if youve bought anything from auction before mark, but its shit scary. Ive done it 4 times now, and I still cack my self. Its probably one of the biggest adrenalin rushes you can get with out an engine being directly involved.

I am not going with the intension of buying anything.......just for something to do...lol

Definately fresh imports.
We see them being off loaded every week here in Southampton, and loaded onto trucks.............. Guess alot of them end up at A1 Auctions, they have another auction site actually within Southampton Docks. So they drive them 500 yds of the ships and straight into the auction site.
The good news is that on the whole (Not always though)............the japs seem to either keep them totally original and normally kept in good nick, or any mods are done to a very high standard. Unlike over here, where once they fall into the hands of the "Chav"......... they on a downward slope to the breakers yards. Sad but True.
A buddy of mine bought one direct from the auction..........on the outside and inside it looked totally original, but opened the bonnet and every hose had been changed for aeroquip, with all the right fittings, same with the brake hoses, and all of the suspension had been changed for fully adjustable coil overs. Really Well Done and very discrete, and it was putting out over 350bhp, but the car looked totally original.

Its so tempting to buy something just for general abuse. Went to an auction when i got the misses a new car, nearly ended up with an RS4 which i didnt need. Its hard to keep your hand down when they start

dunno if its cheap or not but my mate has a evo 6 rs for sale t reg, white, it ws damaged to side unrecorded, its been pulled and panels up with same cooured doors, all door gaps etc fine, but the shuts need dressing filling and painting, its 380 bhp and he wants 5k for iti think,

Yeah, that's what we're talking about here. Lol I know JDM cars often have better spec, just didn't imagine the CTR having 20bhp over the UK model.
