Scotland stopped selling cheap booze?
Heard from the other half earlier that Scotland have passed some law in their equivilant of government with regards to the cheap deals on booze we all know and love
Anyone any idea if this be true? I'm too lazy to look on the news websites

I don't think it has actually been passed, just suggested.
Not really surprised as my local concil have been going on about this for years and had local licencing laws changed so that cheap drinks and 2 4 1 offers are a thing of the past. I can see their point to be honest, if you look at the statistics of alcohol related violence and health problems due to alcohol, they have increased. Do I think it'll make a difference.....NO.

As above i don't think it's been passed yet. Spar down the road from me is still selling the ultimate cheap cider "Frosty Jack" Ł2 for 2ltr, and has various offers on big bottles of Smnof Ice & WKD

TBH its actually a good idea!!! the jobless CHAV scum will not be able to buy so much booze on thier dole money so wont be so pissed - hence reduction in crime.
Might make it more expensive for binge drinkers and "problem" drinkers too. Which can only be a good thing.
People who drink within reasonable limits wont be effected too much.

Yea, but a vast majority of CHAV/NED scum on the dole are smack'd out their tits up here Warren Penalver... so wont make too much difference to them either.
IMO, the time and effort would be better spent trying to make the Methadone Programme a bit more tough on the junky fuckers that have no intention of going clean and see the Methadone as free stuff to fill in between hits of smack.
Cheers,
Grant
