Default Bars Leaks... FANTASTIC !!!

i tracked my leak down to the raidator....

https://passionford.com/forum/showth...50#post3978850

I was looking at a new raidator, but i thought i'd try some Bars Leaks first.

its worked, been on a run in the car, thrashed it a bit to test it, its still not leaking.

Bars Leaks... RECOMMENDED !!!

Stop being cheapskates - if the car needs a rad, get one.

And people are always moaning about RS's being unreliable and breaking.......if you look after a car properly it'll look afteryou.

Some previous owner twat put this shit into the coolant system on my old L200 to try and stop the heater matrix leaking - it didn't work, it clogged the core of the radiator and I ended up having to fork out for a new water pump, thermostat, radiator and heater matrix + assorted coolant hoses

and it also clogs up the rest of the core and drastically reduces efficiency of the cooling system. You'll need to run some rad flush through the engine before you change the radiator - it's such a ball ache to get rid of.

There is absolutely NO WAY i would use that shite on my cossie, i'd rather fork out for a new radiator than risk it going completely tits up and doing more damage!!

Bars does indeed block, and it doesn't last.
KALIMEX K SEAL does NOT block and can last indefinitely, I know vehilces over 5 years old treated with this, one wasa a cracked head(waterway) that is still good as new, despite having had subsequent a/freeze done.
K seal contains ceramic fibres though, don't think the others do.
