lets not go off topic now...BUT...its well documented from people that have ACTUALLY seen Boyd's cars in the flesh that they arn't actually"perfect" regardless of ANY imposed time frame/s...Foose,is on another level to Boyd...anyway back on to topic.....this RS500,its a shame but shit happens......i'm sure it will be saved or reshelled for some unsuspecting fool!

im sure you have done worse & made mint. trouble is this is probably (i cant say for sure but i do get the impression) is only gonna be trarted up. cant really see the welding being done to a high standard so you cant even see its been done. just plated to mot standard

would a welded shell be considered as"mint" anyway?...i know i'd be fucked off if i paid good money for a RS500 that i later found out had been welded in many places!!

i think your about right there mate as that body would need around 6 to 7 month solid graft to sort it out and then there is the price of getting it blasted or dipped cos if its that rotten it would need it and as for the engine look at the state of the clutch it would need every senssor and absolutley everything stripped cleaned or renued
i mean just think how badly coroded things like the throtle body will be and the amount of work that one little part would cost to make good again

carlo....i know what you mean..BUT,,,anyone could buy one of these cars in the day...it's not like an Enzo(if you know what i mean) and unfortunatly some did end up in less than caring hands....just like the reaction of a rusty Audi RS4 found in years to come by the Audi brigade!.....I remember that 500 that was dumped(or forgotten) in a field and a train driver found it and bought it after some investigation..anyone remember that?

Jacko a train driver used to drive down this stretch of track(in the early 90 to mid 90's) and used to see this RS500 sitting in a field, and he was a RS fan(so he knew what he was seeing!). Well one day on his day off,he worked out where he had seen this car from his cabin and eventually found the car!.. It was totally stranded there and hadn't been moved in ages!....he then went through the labourious task of tracking the owners or tennants of this field. He finally found them and they turned out to be some telecomunications company that brought this car as company car and had actually FORGOTTEN about its exsistance.......anyway,he eventually brought the car for a very good price then sent it away to be detailed, and then sold it on from what i remember!!
lucky fucker anyway!!
