an average phone will do me, im not fussed as long as it works as intended. i dont need all the bollocks on phones nowadays but i do need a ps3.

 

If you look at the actual deal you normally end up paying waaay over the odds for what you get

 

Check the contract length and you shoud be ok. Then you'll be on Playstation Home dancing and being silly

 

where do the extras come in? all its showing in the advert is £30 per month for 600 minutes and unlimited texts and theres nothing in the small print at the bottom about charges?

 

i did it a couple of years ago, i think it was "dial a phone", i got the xbox 360,and a motorola razer v3i, i had no problems at all, got the phone the next day then got the xbox about 3 weeks after the phone as it said i would.

 

it'll be an 18 month contract, the extra will probably be the insurance but it can be cancelled

 

Mate of mine at work took out a deal like this with 3 through the Carphone Warehouse and he's had no complaints.

He got a Nokia 6500 slide - a nice phone but quite old. There are other decent enough phones if you press them for a deal.

He actually found the service better than o2 when he had a problem with the phone as Carphone Warehouse can fix them in-house so it doesn't take the standard 3 weeks to repair in most cases.

They do say that you don't own the PS3 until the contract has ended or that the balance for the rental has been paid (he's 18 months so 18x£35).

Seems like a winner from what I've heard from him.

 

im due an upgrade on my vodafone now as my 18 month contract is almost up. so its worth going for one of these? im not fussed for a new fancy phone. another in the sony walkman phone range would do me fine.

 

personally i would, i had no complaints.

 

Try carfone warehouse my sister in law took out a new contract in jan and walked out same day with a wii and mariocart chucked in for a fiver!

I did it last week got a Nokia 3120 classic and a PS3 within 48hours for £30 per month contract is for 18months no hidden extras,pretty much does what it says on the tin really!!!

I saw this deal the other week and was tempted!

How it works is they offer you a average phone worth about £100 but you have to take the contract over 18 or sometimes 24 months. So if your paying £30 a month thats £720 over 24 months for a phone that cost peanuts and is already dated compared to whats out.

If they offer a half decent phone + a gift and 12 months contract then thats a good deal.

 

My missus surprised me a few months back. She wanted a new contract fone and came home with a new fone (not top of the range but does the job) and a ps3. The only prob i got now is what do i play with, 360 or ps3?

 

I take it you give the PS3 back after the 18 months?

Another thumbs up for carphone warehouse from me fuzzy. Got an ok phone can't remember the model number paid £35.00 a month and got a PS3 with spiderman blu-ray and GT5 demo/prolouge thing.

One thing that does worry me though is if the ps3 goes wrong where do you stand on sending it back...do you get a manufactor warrenty or what? Luckily mines been fine so far
