Default Is my s2 ecu chipped? pic inside

I've not long bought a s2 powerd mk5, the previouse owner didnt know if it was chipped or not. Ive taken the cover off to have a look for a name somewhere in there, but with no luck. So if anyone could tell me from the pic id be greatfull.

No looks stranded to me, if it was chipped the colour of the 40-pin chip would be brown/ greyish in colour. In a standard ecu it would be black.

if i pic up a seccond hand chiped one do i need the black box to run with the chip too?

actually some chipped ecu's have a chipped fuel ecu to go with it

What boost were you running? Mine looks like that but its obvious that the solder has been renewed at some point

Its quite obvius to tell if its been chipped, turn the ecu over.. so you can see the solder maks.. specifically those where the 'chip' is.. you can blatantly tell if its been re soldered as there will be flux residue /slight burns on the board
