I live in Essex and i dont think the clubs are that good. The small nights in bars/pubs/small clubs are very good though
Bas Vegas is swag & the bouncers are pricks
Chelmsford is full of nancy boys and dukes is the cheesiest place going.
Southend has some pretty good nights though.
Then again, it all depends on what sort of night/music your lookin for. If your lookin to hear all the standard pop tunes you've been listenin to all day on the radio then Bas Vegas & Chelmsford is where its at

wasn't expecting such a great reply.

sadly our weekend has been reacked due to cambelt issues so its been push on to next weekend.

195 is good! Dukes is not all that anymore, although worked a treat for me last week

But you are tarring everyone in Essex with the same brush, I've lived in Essex all my life and i'm certainly not a chav and a majority of the people in Essex are not chavs.
So you saying "I could think of better places to go than chavvy Essex" sounds like the whole of Essex is full of chavs. There are chavs in every town in the country doesn't mean you have to go clubbing with them.

imo goin out clubbin is wot u make it , aslong as the music is good n people u go with are a good bunch n up for a laugh rather than just goin out to get pissed n fight the world , then it should be a good night out despite the venue , u could be in the best club in the world but if u aint with good company u'll still have a shit night !!
