Benefits can't do jack shit, if you know the rules, which clearly no one on here that has answered yet does.
The people you need to worry about are the COUNCIL, as in they are paying the rent ?, they will not pay full whack rent with someone staying there.
If it were just the DWP that you needed to worry about, just stay there all the time, sleep together, have holidays together, go out together, you will rightly be calssed as a couple, but there is a way round it!!
HAVE SEPERATE CUPBOARDS FOR YOUR FOOD, yes it's true, test case after test case that has been brought has boiled down to this, even if a couple want to be classed as a couple they can't be if they have seperate food cupboards.
If you don't beleive it get yourself a copy of CPAG handbook, this has ALL the rules in it, and would be FREE to your g/f if she is on income support.

I was told anymore than 1 night you would be classed as living there if it happened regular.
They said 3/7 days would still count as you living there.
Best to phone up council and benefits, just say your brother or sister is homeless and they might possibly be coming to live with you or stay a few days a week, ask how this will affect the benefits/rent/council tax
