i fail to see the relevence with a school uniform

would you send you boy in with white sports socks, shoes and trousers to school, what about to a wedding of a family member/friend ?

teach your kids to dress for the right ocasions and proper and they will respect more, may sound dumb but put a suit on to work feels different than wearing ripped jeans and trainers,,, even if its the same job you seem to click in a different way of thought

ps: i wear a suit to work monday to friday and i find people also treat me different too but when i wear a suit i make sure my tie is done proper, wear cufflinks and the correct trousers for the colour of my shoes

as said before at my work theres people wearing 3 quid maplins shirts who also foget there tie,, the shirts are shite quality and there excuse is " its just for work"

thing is you spend most of your time in these clothes,, so buy decent clothes to wear and WEAR THEM rather than just drape them on you

all my shirts are double cuff that require them, also al my work shirts are thomas pink too but thats another story

go up a level ? i wear a white shirt for special ocasions, mullberry tie ( you need to see it to appriciate it) and better cufflinks,,, spanners/spirit level/"mr right" cufflinks aint really wedding stuff

also i would wear my better watch rather than my work raymond

as said you spend most of your time at work, wear nice clothes for them times if possible rather than badly cut cheepo shirts that look like a school uniform

the relevence is you asked if i would go out looking like a tramp.the answer is yes.
maybe in your house these things matter but in my house were not so stuck up on such things. comfort and happiness is more important to me than fitting in with someones idea of fashion rights and wrongs.
clean , tidy and smart does me as i have more to worry about than sticklers for dress codes.

so you would let your CHILD go to visit a friend of yours dressed as a tramp ?

im AM a scuffy fucker ill admit, though i dont wear tracksuits in public apart from a gym, just aint me, ill admit i have bought clothes when i went to the gym and it was closed due to a power cut so i went and bought a pair of trousers and a t-shirt to go to the pub for the afternoon,, but thats about comfort

ive also bought new clothes for Elise when we went to nikkis sister and she got chocolate on her in the car,,, its for comfort though and not fashion

dress appropriate for the events. i wouldnt go to a funeral without a tie, wouldnt wear trousers with trainers,, wouldnt wear a baseball cap with a shirt, wouldnt wear a my long crombie coat with jeans/trainers

AND I WOULD NEVER WEAR WHITE SOCKS WITH TROUSERS !!!!

though no would i wear bare feet with shoes and trousers

i also dont wear my black socks with shorts either, THATS when you wear your white sports socks !!!!

no i wouldnt send my children out as tramps, my attire bears no resemblence to how my kids dress, as said, smart, clean and tidy when nessesary is enough rather than being sticklers for outdated dress codes.
the op was made to wear no socks with shoes because they had white socks on. is that an improvement or them being an arse for arses sake?
...and ive attended a funeral in those torn work clothes it couldnt be helped and my appearance at the funeral was more important than my appearance dress wise....................

Bloody hell, never realised the subject of a pair of socks could get so heated lol....rules are rules agreed but when i was at school there was so many jobsworth teachers that seemed to thrive on enforcing petty rules like that, wearing the wrong coloured socks is hardly the crime of the century now is it!
