i have mechanical ones.
(yes the pressure is correct
thats what pug say it should be)

they seem to work good enough.. i tested the temp one before it was put in. and it was bang on for accuracy.

why i ask is i have a mechanical ford racing gauge in white...but i also have two other electrical gauges in black and thought it might be a good idea to keep them all electrical..
so would a electrical oil presure gauge fit a saff..?
i should have said tht in the begining

yea it will mate. plugs into the same hole in the block, just instead of having a little pipe going from the block to the gauge, you have a little wire instead.

nearly as simple as that. the place on the block where it screws into is a right coont to get to on a cossie
or is that just 4x4 cossies? lol

I have an Autometer mechanical gauge, fitted it by getting it tapped into the adaptor block that the dash oil pressure switch is located.
Others have put a brass adaptor between the block and oil pressure switch, then screwed the gauge line into that.

There is no sensor already on a cossie just to connect wires to and get oil pressure.
You have to fit either:
Mechnical- Pipe onto oil line, feeding to you gauge.
Electrical- sender unit onto oil line, with its wires feeding to your gauge.

I know of a blok years ago who had a mechanical guage in his saph, the pipe split and filled the inside of the car up with oil lol. His carpets were nice and water proof afterard which was the up side
