i thought i read earlier in the thread (can't be bothered to trawl through it again) that she was really cold?

and wasn't she in a queue with 200 other poeple, so hardly on her own?
You have clearly missed the point. First of all you can have all the clothes, preparation you want but you are still 15 miles away from the one you love. Lots of things go through your mind. No different to spending the night anywhere else? Absolute rubbish. You expecting her to send him a post card? Robocop could of been there for all she cared, but it's not her partner, so it doesn't matter who is there.

As for her being with 100 other people. First of all he stated she was stuck in her car, so in reality she was as good as on her own. And let's be honest, when your all in the same boat, the twin towers for an extreme example, not comparing at all, I'm sure they never said 'There's thousands here, we're good'.

you're missing the point - the point being that if you go out when the weather could potentially catch you out, you should be prepared for it. that means having the right stuff to be warm enough and enough food and hot drink to last the night if it comes to it.

that's the risk you take going out and if you're not prepared to take it, stay at home.

just want to add that if you think that being stuck in a car for a night is a major hardship, you have a very limited view of the world and have lead a very easy life and don't know how lucky you are. especially those that are given free cars and do bugger all work for them

i dont really see what this has to do with you tbh.

you keep dragging these pointless facts up.

i started this thread because i was concerned about my wife stuck in a car on her own.

she had clothes, blankets, food, water. but i was concerned for her safety.

as far as im concerned she was much better perpared than 99% of people would have been.
but she was cold...i think anyone sat in -6 would be tbh.

shes home safe now which is all that matters now piss off and let this thread dissapear.
