weve got enough in yorkshire to grit for 12 days constantly apparantly

here (wiltshire) Wilts county council says they have 1,000 tons of salt left.
which is a fraction of what they need to grit nearly 1000 miles of road..

so they are sending the snow ploughs out tonight!!

i think there all talking bollocks,i work for a tipper firm and before xmas we were taking salt from winsford in cheshire all over the country,and the bloke that worked on the weighbridge told me they were seein a thousand wagons a day,so they had plenty to go at,and ther plenty of haulage firms that will fetch em saly if they want to pay for it.
