most garages don’t know how to do them and just buy a new rear sub frame with them in you got to cut them out and then when you fit the new ones you got to let them set in the sealant over night lol

Are you talking about the rear bushes? I am asking about the damper/springs as my mondy has snapped both rear springs. Just want to know the best way of tackling it/accessing bolts etc.

Disconnect the handbrake cable, undo and tie up the rear caliper, remove the abs wiring. Undo the 2 trailing arm bolts and stabalising bar, then undo the 2 bolts up in the shock turret that hold the top plate to the car, Then the remove the shock from the car

cost me Ł80 to have both rear springs changed at my local independant garage. i wouldve done it myself but was doing 16 hour days, so didnt have time. im glad, as they said it was an absolute nightmare, and theyre very competant in that place. for the money, id sooner let some other fucker do it than struggle freezing my bollocks off lying on the driveway with numb fingers in this weather.
