Default energy assessor?

any advice or info on training to become one? been laid of twice in 8 months as a metalworker/fabricatoe earning good money and had to take what work i can get as a hand car wash skiv!!! only part time as im a single dad, thought this could be just the thing, due to being a fairly new career not many people doing it?
Am i right in thinking that if a house is reposessed then a survey will have to be carried out before its sold on?
things are getting pretty dire in our area right now, and thought this might be a job thats not gonna feel the hit too much????

ALL houses need to be assessed before they can be sold (infact Im pretty sure that they cant go on the market until they've been assessed).

There are ALOT of people who have done the course. You can give it ago, but you may not end up with much work because of how many people have done it.
