Judging by the twitch just before, it was either "C" clip come off or more likely half shaft snapped.

read a write up in top gear last week where they yook a mustang to a `well known car manufacturer with a racing heritage known for sorted suspension` (made it quite clear who it was without saying),put one up one the ramps and they were very impressed with the setup even tho it had a transverse leaf spring!!!
