O2 broadband...
Comes highly recommended from me if you are thinking about switching
I was paying £25+ a month for unlimited BT broadband (as they were the only provider on my exchange when I moved in) and with them I could get around 600k/sec downloads outside of peak time, but during the evening they blocked downloads and everything slowed up. Not good for the price. Especially when I only download a couple of things a month and its always in the evening
I switched to o2, and am paying something silly like £2.50 a month for unlimited 8mbit broadband (after getting £70 cashback via quidco). I got a free wireless router and after plugging it in last night, despite them emailing me and texting me about 5 times to say my maximum speed will be around 2.5Mbit, I fired up bit torrent, at 6pm, and got 850k/second straight off. I also get a 1Mbit upstream according to the speed tests.
