although i must confess i quite like blowing chavs away in their shitty lillte fibreglass kitted sheds in my 4.2 landcruiser

I have done some serious top speed runs along that very road many times! The road is dead as about 90% of the time and TBH if I was going to go for it that would be one of the roads! Totally blown out of proportion but posting it on YOUTUBE! WHAT A FUCKIN NUMPTY!

I reckon the guy was, allowing for speedo error, 90 mph tops! Hardly crime of the year! The fly over they turn off at is where my then flat mate (trucker Dave) got pinched at 125mph in his seat cupra! They wait on the flyover watching the passing traffic and hammer it down the opposite slip road to catch you!
Bearing in mind he had 15 POINTS! on his license at the time, the outcome was not the best as I am sure you can imagine!

Your probably right, it will be 90 mph. I doubt most metros could make it to 100, let alone 120.
I think the fastest any Metro has gone was 113mph & that was done on a track by Rover themselves.

I like they way it's "boy racer madness", who shows decent road manners to other drivers, and simply follows a 4x4 for most of the film, then gets dusted by someone who vanishes in seconds on a clear road!!!

on a clear morning i went from london to croft on 2.5 hours,,, stopping TWICE for fuel and coffee !!!
also got back from blackpool in under 3 hours
oh and once got back from st albans in 15 mins !!!
