HELP Any one in Warwick - CV35 8AF . Help please
Need a favour. If anyone is close to this address would it be possible to see if there is anyone there.
http://www.puddleduck.uk.com/
As some may know ive been doing the headgasket on the aston.
First lot of goods came through just, fine customer service was great.
Bits were almost £700, turned up 2 days later.
They even emailed me to say they have closed puddle duck parts ltd/ ie the restoration side of the company has gone bust and are now trading as puddle duck, selling parts only.
I even get a new invoice through the post with the new letter head, and a credit note for sometihng i send back.
spoke to some aston buffs and they all agreed id have nothing to worry about, as they are a well trusted company.
On the 21st i ordered a new clutch for £428. i send a few part back from the last order and these had been cerdited.
I get an email on the 21st saying order has been taken and good are send. expect delivery on friday 23 or monday 26.
nothing arrived monday so i emailed just asking if i could have a consignment number to track the delivery- no reply.
Yesterday i get a bit concerned, call on numerous occasions. the phone is often engaged so some one is there making calls, but they never answer it. ive left 2 messages and called about 10 times. no -reply
Today after more calls and still no email reply i get very concerned.
I call the mastercard they say a payment was taken on 21st for the £428, which is what i ordered.
I then call tnt, who puddle duck have an account with, and they find a collection on the 23 from them, but can not find any reference to me or my postcode. so im told to assume the parcel was never sent.
SO the dilema, the aston is being used for a wedding on the 14th feb, so it need to be done asap.
THe only option i have is to drive up there and deal with it face to face.
but what if the parts have been send, do i give him the bennifit of doubt but then risk not having the car done in time.
or do i order the part somewhere else (not very easy part to get) but then risk the delivery turning up and end up with £900 worth of clutches
Im not worried about the money, as its on the business mastercard, i have 3 months to dispute payment, so the money is safe.
Sorry in waffling now.
But if anyone is close to
Puddle duck farm

can you please please pop in and just see if there is any life there.
I have a wedding in 2 weeks and i can not let the brides family down!!!

Thanks so much mate.
I just want to know if my parts have been sent. TNT say they havn't!!
Order was comfirmed on 21stjan, and they have taken payment, and i was emialed saying they were sent.
Parts are 5 days over due, and they WILL NOT answer the poxy phone
If not and they have them there, i will come and get them
Or if they are totally waisting my time then i will get my money back.

The DB4, DB5, DB6 and DBS are all identical cars basically, but with different hand made alluminum bodies.
The DBS is the cheapest, this ones about £45k, but mint examples are now commanding £70k. But as it is the last of the run of the 6 cyl cars it is the most refined and evolved of the bunch, and also only 800 of the 4 headlight models were made so its fast becoming sought after
After the 800 DBS's they then made the V8 (also known as DBS V8)
The DB5 is £90-100 of an average one £130k+ for a minter, which is just crazy considering they are glorified tractors made up from the parts bins of the cortina, morris marina, jag xj6 and other leyland daf parts

Right.....been and picked up Lee's bits for him
TBH they were VERY sorry for the delay and they are going to ring Lee and apologize, which is fair enough i guess.
They had the bits ready to be collected but to be on the safe side i took them just so that Lee knew he 100% had them so he could get the car fixed and ready for the wedding
Glad i could help you out Lee................
I bet when they opened up the gates that went into the courtyard to see the front of a Land Rover Discovery with a 6ft 2,18 stone guy with a shaved head they thought they better get the bits ready

Im back.
Mark thanks again, top bloke!!
I will resume the resto tommrow morning, so expect an update tommrow afternoon.
Cant wait to get the old girl moving under her own steam again. Need to get it running around for the next week or so, just to make sure its gna be fine for that wedding on the 14th! Ive told the bride i will put some ribbons on the landrover as a back up
And guess what ive had 2 calls and an email apologising for all of this Bit late for that hey, give them their due there may have been perfetly reasonable answers for the massive delay.
But the fact my calls were blantently ignored and they lied to me saying the stuff was posted over a week ago. is enough evidence for me!! I will not be recommending them
Mark, what can i say, owe you a big favour!
