Can you make the small end of a rod smaller safely?
Ive bought a set of decent Farndon Steel rods but the bloody small end is too big. They've obviously been made or modded to fit a bigger gudgeon pin and the seller said otherwise.
Would it be possible to have the bronze ring pressed out an a bigger one pressed in? Or shall I get a refund
Paid a decent price so would prefer to keep them if possible.

Yes but safely? As in are they are 0.5mm for a reason? And not say 5mm? I.e. Would a bigger bush create movement etc...?

Send them back to Farndon with a gudeon pin and they will make you a new little end bush to suit the rod and the gudeon pin. I had to do this with mine some time ago.
