i don't no if there is a proper tool for it but if no one reply's, i just use a small flat headed screwdriver to prize back wot ever is retaining the terminal and bend it back when ready to put back in, usually works fine for me

i knew you'd be the man but thought you might not be on here at the moment, i should of just said ask tabetha when he's on here, i nearly did to be honest, i just didn't want to be sending people to hassle you.

oh yea tabetha i need to ask a question do you think if i get a frst engine loom i'll be able to match it into an efi mk5 eso loom by swapping terminals, or where i could get a frst wiring diagram, did haynes do a manual for them cheers tabetha

Don't bother with the ninja stars - they don't work on cossie plugs.

Blue Point to a set that, out of about 10 tools, contains one that is perfect for cossies. The set is less than Ł20.

Most of the de-latchers are either like a single fork shape, double fork or round. You could use a paperclip, just straighten one side an file flatish but not to thin. That is what we used to use at work when making looms and couldnt find or had broken a de-latching tool.If any are round the proper tool to use http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/s...duct&R=0446204 <dont quote me on the size or try maplins. You may struggle with the one in the link its similar though. The easier one to use has a rod inside the tube and you push from the handle.File a bloody paper clip its cheaper lol.

is it really worth bothering taking bits out of the loom for all the weight you are going to save if keeping the abs

plus WHEN you break the car the loom wont be worth fook all if its had bits removed....just a thought
