Im feeling some noise links coming on

This is the chap who runs the mk2vr6 forum.

this was has mk3, which he stacked on this lap, he then took the engine and put it in a mk2.

Ps the noise is all induction with VR6's, you hardly hear anything from the exhaust

this is a standard N/A motor, here you can see just what i meant buy it pulling smooth like a train, no surge of power like a cossie, just smooth torque

But you're clearly a 'hater', so you believe what you believe, and I'll stick to my opinions.

yeah, compare the vr6 to cars of the time, cavvy sri, mondeo st24 maybe, rs2000, calibra v6, frst, probe v6.

all cars are shoddy to be fair, they're old cars and i think the golf is the only one that still looks respectable.

heres mine:

now i paid £2600 for that nearly 3 years ago, in that time i've done about 15k miles. and tbh it IS an old car so i've had to replace a few things, ht leads, plugs, coil pack, mass air flow senser and rear shocks. which don't sound much but still over £500 worth of parts. so despite being german, and mine having good history with low mileage, bought mine with 60k on, things can still go wrong.

handling, yeah, it's no go cart but i've done 1k miles in a weekend more than once with no probs in comfort, fuel wise, 22-28 is about normal. you can get 30mpg driving at 60mph if need be. best thing i did with my handling was a set of good tyres and getting the tracking adjusted. no go cart, but no worse than it's rivals of the time.

i think im going to buy a standard mk3 and go from there, i will probably just get it looking and handling how i want and leave it at that and just abuse it for a couple years

The cossie went last week and i ended up buying a golf VR6, at first i hated it but the more i drive the more i like it, its definatly growing on me!

heres some pics

its pretty clean, 99k on the clock, lots of history etc

i plan to put some coilovers on it, old style front splitter, eibach anti roll bars and some comp TH wheels then i think i will be happy
