Hi all
Bought a set of wheels off ebay and paid by paypal. When they turned up they were significantly not as described, so I contacted the seller who had them collected. I then had an email from him saying he is having trouble with paypal, so can he send me a cheque, which I agreed.
This was a week ago, and I have not yet received anything. I sent him an email, which I have had no response to. How would I go about claiming my money back through paypal? Am I guaranteed to get it back?
Thanks
Rich

put a claim in saying not as described etc, he has to reply to it no matter what
paypal will always go buyers way, as some bloke in china just had Ł189 back off me saying items never even turned up and i even gave paypal the tracking info they required
, so he has my money and the items the wanker
but anyhow, just claim, you will have to send them back, recorded so you know they have been accepted, as soon as he has said to paypal they have been collected they will issue the refund
he he doesnt have it in his paypal, then they should take it out of his back up funding, credit card or bank to refund you

I got raped for Ł300 quid, bought an intercooler/rad combo that was on ebay, but we agree'd on a price out of auction and i bought it like that.
It never showed up, did a paypal dispute, which wasn't too hard to do, just a bit of fannying around with all the emails we had both sent.
After a week or so, they said that they ruled in my favour, howvere, they cannot refund any money from the other bell ends account. Helpfull.
I think you are a bit more covered when its actually bought in auction tho.

Both the PAYPAL disputes I have had had mixed success, the first I only got part of my money back, the second time I got full refund. I've only resorted to this cos sellers don't want answer e:mails or get in contact.
I takes a bit of time as PAYPAL gives both parties time to respond to dispute, but you get there in the end. If the seller doesn't respond to Paypal then it goes in your favour.
Hope you get it sorted out, shame there are dodgy sellers out their as majority of my eBay purchases and sales have been painless.

hes lying imo he should of just pushed the refund button job done if he did not have the money to cover the wheels the rest would of come out of hes bank.then if you get the cheque you got to wait 5 days to clear so if you get the check bank it wait to clear then close your clame with pay as i have know people to close the clame when they get the cheque and it bounces

Ring him and tell him if the cheque hasn't arrived by Wednesday to send out another cheque by next day special delivery only. At least if you speak to him he'll know you mean business.
