I fancy a set of 18" alloys for my Ka but 19"s are only a little more money, are they likely to fit? I have rally arches, coilovers and the motor is big enough to move big wheels

I'm unsure of the answer although I have a sneaking suspicion you may create some issues for yourself?

Another point to make is you will more than likely completely change the handling characteristics of the car. Which will be a bad thing I would imagine.

Dont forget the cost of the tyres... 19" tyres jump up in price a lot.

I too think 19's on a Ka would be a little to extreme. I take it your going for looks over form?

I'm sure Severn Valley Motorsport did a bright yellow Ka on 19's a few years ago. It can be done, but like said above, why bother, would look daft and the handling on the Ka which is good fun would be ruined.

Thanks for the handling concerns but that was ruined by doing the engine conversion!

I'm assuming a 225 40 18 would be the very close if not the same as a 235 35 19?

I am not sure it would look good though. But each to their own!

You could make any size wheel fit. Space out a litte for the inside if it is going to catch, then butcher the bodywork accordingly for the outer side.

KAs profile is one ( 5 ) lower rhan other fords

you'd be looking at at 35 18 or 30 19!

and some mega mods, her 195 45 15s rubbed, i had to move some pipe work

The 15"s I use to run did the same but a 5 or 10mm spacer sorted them out

The wheels I'm looking to get are ET35 but I can play around with spacers to get the right fit

your best bet is to phone some wheel places and see what they say, as itts a massive change over the standard size on a 13" rim!
