Default Spiders!!

eeeee! i H A T E them but last night the BIGGEST one i've seen for a while was very cool and calmly walking, not running for once, across our kitchen floor - carrying another similar to itself
it's about the only time i've felt sorry for them and not got someone to launch them straight out of the window

what the hell were they up then?

my brother was saying about some exotic ones the female eats the male, poor thing lol but they don't usually bother coming out for a sprint when the dogs and cat are about, they just stay in sneaky hidey holes

anyone know? just curious and a bit bored today

I used to be ok with spiders, I could never pick them up but wasn't scared of them. Nowadays I'm petrified of them and literally scream like a girl and run.

I used to keep tarantulas and scorpion but spiders really freak me out. Far to spindly and fast.

i had a fight with a big fuker in the garage the other day, i hate the things i really, and this one was in my roll of blue roll i use

so as he started to move towards me he got soaked in brake cleaner, instant death for him, just shrivelled up and went on his back stiff as a board

usually they get spray glue on them and i laff at them trying to move, its a bit like that terminator in t2 when he gets frozen

I was never bothered by them until my Dad was clearing out my nans old place and got bitten. Still remember the trip to casualty. Was always told UK spiders couldn't bite a human. Guess those mild winters have supersized them.

I'm not a big fan of spiders really but still have to get rid as the wife won't go near. My latest tactic is to knock them to the floor and get the dog to hoover them up

We get loads of them, hidden in the logs for the real fire

Glad to see it's not just me who has an acute fear of them

We used to get some huge ones coming in the workshop of my old works of the fields out the back, one of the lads was terrified of them so they always seemed to find there way into his toolbox

I used to be terrified of the UK ones till I lived in Australia. Came home and the UK ones are minows in comparison.

Could it be that the one u saw was shedding a skin and that u saw that on its back?

I believe they shed

I am absolutely TERRIFIED of spiders, like serious scared of them! To the point were i was slowly going down on this post incase anyone had put any pictures up as i cant even look at pictures, thats how bad i am!

Aswell in work, its that bad that if there is a spider near by or i can see one when doing a job, sometimes i refuse to do the job, the stick i get for it though is unreal.

hate the things but not as bad as i was when i was a kid

my sister locked me in the bathroom once with this massive grey spider, the only way i could stop it from running was to scream!!

i was told that all spiders are poisonous, but not all spiders can use it as they cannot bite or have no teeth - cant remember exactly tho

it's crossed my mind to give them to my chameleon but i think they might be too fast for him and they might escape back into my room and i could never sleep in there again

i could NEVER go to Australia - think badnews off here said he'd chased a big one round. He tried to catch a massive one in his hand that crawled out of the bumper of one of the xr4x4's at dono - i was nearly sick
i would really probably faint if i saw one of those huntsman ones, i hate the leggy ones most

well i thought it might be a skin - but it was carrying the other in it's mouth (i know them bits on the front aren't teeth)
it was another full on spider, i think it was hurt or it might have been dead, i didn't get close enough to look. It didn't even try and run though, it was just walking slowly

my mum threw them both into next doors, so they can go and live there
