Default Cleaning Silison hoses

Hiya Al

So i need to clean up the engine bay of the 4x4 and i was wondering what tips ou might have about getting rid of oil/grease on silicon hoses?

I did some searching and found these vids but wanted to see what you guys would suggest.

Some kinda spray stuff (furniture polish?):

dont use petrol as i did. burnt the lining on the inside of my nose use soapy water which i did afterwards comes up a treat.nose was sore for a WEEK.!!!

im another fan of wd40 it removes oil and leaves the hoses like new
