heard a whisper of an RS500 stored in a barn today!

No, I have never worn shorts for work yet.
There is one fella from work who featured on the news a few weeks ago when it snowed who was delivering in his shorts. Idiot.

No news from my end today. I've spoken to the posties who deliver out that way and they don't know. I'm well pissed off, but I'm out tomorrow so I'll have a look and an ask about.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I have to say this post disturbs me slightly.
Steve, you spoke to a bloke you were buying some bits off, who then told you about another bloke he'd met, so neither of you actually know the owner of this car but you are happily telling the world and his wife about it to the point where some are taking it as personal mission to find it.
And from the clues you have given there will be some pikey who will be out there knocking doors until they find it.
Especially as there is a hint the fella has a Lotus Cortina as well, probably one of the most attractive retro fords to steal at the moment.
So this fella is sat at home blissfully unaware that a marauding hoard of £100 Millionaires from Passionford are about to descend on him and try and buy his car, probably for 2wd Saph money, as those who seriously want an RS500 know what they are likely to cost and know the people they need to speak to to source one.
Others have no intention of buying it but will find it and knock the door just for a chat about the car pretending they would like to buy it, hoping its someone who doesnt know what its really worth and will let it go for peanuts, then they will go off and tell their mates what they've just seen, who will tell their mates and before long the car will be stolen, broken up for parts and gone for ever.
How would you feel if someone had spotted your 100E parked up somewhere and was then discussing it on a forum somewhere and a group of people are then on a mission to find it, with the intent on trying to buying it for £500.
Come on guys, use a bit of common !!!!

Cragrat, no luck I'm afraid.
I'm the only person he's told about the location of this car and if you care to read the posts you'll notice there's nothing specific whatsoever on the cars location. He said it's near Harrogate in what appears to be an old quarry. The area is full of old quarrys, it's like saying it's near an old coal pit in South Yorkshire.
Quite frankly I'm in the best possible position to locate the car, not only do I live in Harrogate but I'm also a postie who covers all of the rural areas. Now if I can't find the fucking thing I seriously doubt some pikey who after seeing this thread will stumble across it and steal it.
OK.

right for starters the posts on here are mainly banter, only one person knows where it is,if some chav did go knocking on doors to find it he has kinda let people know what he looks like etc as if he/she did do that then i`d be suspicious of him, there are far more easy things for them to nick than the possibility of a 20 yr old sierra that might be in a barn somewhere, when in fact it is a known fact they are lazy gets and will only nick summat easy.
knock knock "er! hello do you have an rs500 to steal er! i mean sell? in your barn or have you heard of one? as kicking in a door and taking the keys for the family car is too easy for me!"
i dont think so
