Default Plumbers - Seeing as everyone else seems to be asking!

My Central heating doesnt seem to be working very well.

Some of my radiators get nice and hot when the heating is on.......its on a thermostat and it seems to work well etc but some of the radiators are cool still......i've bled them all and they are still cool/cold.

What can I do?

Matt

Try turning off the ones that are hot and see if the cold ones get hot now!

Then report back.

Combi boiler = no tanks in the loft and no hot water tank or controls in the airing cupboard.

Just the boiler and rads

Sounds like the system needs balencing........

The rooms that you dont use ALOT......turn the rads down slightly in there, so it is at a comfatable temp.....this will force the heat into the other rads

If youve got a combi boiler, it will be mains water pressurised and you will have to fill or refill the system via a filling loop in the boiler area,

If youve got a conventional boiler and system, you should have a airing cupboard with hw cylinder and conrtols, and 2 tanks in the loft and the smaller one of the 2 should be the heating (header) tank which feeds the heating system.

Steve

I have at the minute mate...... just started a big barn conversion running underfloor heating and 2 300l Megaflo's.
I have 2 builders that i do all the plumbing for and they are keeping me pretty busy aswell........

BUT, speaking to alot of other guys they seem to be struggling a little. It seems to be the ones with 4-5 blokes on that are finding it hard. The sole traders seems ok at the minute.

Just doing a little pricing this afternoon..........(As well as looking for an M5)

How about you??

We've got very little on atm and the phones arent ringing either, lots booked for Feb though.

January is always quiet for me though. you do get used to it, but its boring waiting for the phone to ring.
