OK guys following from marias thread

I want your opinions on what the content should be, cars only (action/stills) or girls of PF with their cars, as per old one. Any other ideas please add them here, I'll lock other thread and place a redirect to this one, for fresh conversation.

Cant say anything nice? Have 24 hours to cool off. This is a charity calendar.


I was thinking something like the following (off the top of my head, may be added to and changed)

1) Establish Ideas for calendar and what everybody would like to see (this thread)
2) Run a design competition to get a nice layout
3) Begin photography competitions (possibly themed) for shots
4) Possibly group shot of the girls who model (if they wish) for inside cover etc
5) Get it printed and sent out!

Something like that anyway, I want this calendar to be entirely user created content and design wise...

Please bear in mind that if the "girls" option wins it will be subject to the girls agreeing to pose. They will be posing with cars so we will still have them, its just to establish if A) they would be willing to pose B) if we want to see them in the calendar.

I have voted for car shots, we can get a rough date for final shots to be in and run a series of photo competitions throughout this year and the summer show season to get our shots.

Perect and will sell much better than cars. You can look at car pictures online, but it's not easy to take your laptop the toilet.

Against my better judgement I've voted for car shots. I would love to see the ladies off here do the biz again but I don't see it happening. Especially with all the stick they got before and no doubt will get again.

Totally agree Steve, the photo's will (probably) be decided in photograph competitions, so it is more about the quality of the shots rather than the cars in them.

Yeah, I like that. But, I also think it would look proper cool with a woman off here dressed like they would of done when the car came out. Do you know what I'm trying ton say?

How about a men of PF calendar for us ladies...yes all 10 of us

Why not the 12 "best" cars from members on here...then the owner of the car gets to choose a up to 3 people to be pictured with the car...

"best" cars could be chosen by a Poll after a thread with people nominating their cars...with a write up, pictures etc...that way we learn more about peoples cars in the process.

Ok including the idea from Marias thread I bumped

We need to establish if the girls, should they agree to pose, would be happy to possibly not pose with their own car. If the girls agree and they all have escort cossies we will hit a problem you see.....

Something for later discussion, I hope maria raises this topic in the ladies room and some of the ladies willing to pose can post up their thoughts here

I think we can have a good variation of cars for the 12 slots available. However, why not get say 11 cars and on the 12th month have all 11 cars in the shot? Just an idea. Variation of cars could vary from concourse to slightly modded, to mildly modded to heavily modded to the very extreme. Think that should get a good variation of all models, old and new. Shouldn't be too biased if you get what I'm trying to say.

Surely all of the above just complicates a very simple thing?

12 cars, 12 months, 12 different pictures with tech spec and write up about that individual car. Owners can appear with the car if they so wish but will be encouraged to keep their ugly mugs out

The pictures should encapsulate why people are passionate about their Fords. So they should include a MK1 Escort having it's head kicked in across to a EsCos sat down a posh manor house lane, bufftied up to it's eye balls!

I think the idea of girls posing with the cars just detracts from it being "passionford".

I could easily drive round to a few tuners, take some shots of their cars and print them in passionfords name, I want to make sure that everyone has a say and a chance of input. There are some properly talented photographers on here, as Im sure there are also some excellent designers.

I totally see what you mean though Tim, and the images I have in my head from your description are great! which is why I voted for cars only.
