Default Torsen diffs and gear oils

My Audi runs a torsen centre diff which I believe is part of the gearbox and thus uses the same fluid. Quite recently 3rd gear has been getting a little tighter, not crunchy but definately not as slick as the other gears.

Redline do a heavy shock gear oil which I know cured a similar problem in a mate GTR and to be fair is quite a good fluid to use in a gearbox if your going to use it hard, my concern is wether its suitable to be used in my gearbox if centre torsen diff runs on the same fluid ?

I know its a non Ford question but I guessed someone on here will know a fair bit on the subject
