Default Chassis number......

I was planning on getting on the loor pans chnged out on my S2, but was thinking (dangerous i know!!) What happens to get a new number in place of the old one, what woudl you do??

cut it out and weld it in place? unless its that rusty?

Too rusty mate, half of it is gone. Can you get them stamped somewhere like ford, would they do it if you can supply the documents etc??

Plus to me if i looked at a car that had a number welded in i would think something was dodgy like it wasnt the cars real ID, know what i mean??
